About Us
Originally started by Sheila Hatch as the Sheila Hatch Ballet School over 50 years ago, The Dance Place continues to grow and flourish. The school provides opportunities for children from age three to train in ballet, tap, jazz, modern and pointe with workshops offered by the teachers hip hop, contemporary, and contact improvisation. A family oriented school, with a love of children and a passion for the performing arts; we are all a family at The Dance Place.

The school folllows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus and every year an examiner from the RAD comes to Barbados to conduct the ballet exams.
